Long Live the Book

The humble book was possibly the most disruptive technology of all. An emergent consequence of the printing press. The proliferation of words and ideas caused people to be burned at the stake, wars to start, and society to ask big questions of itself.

I know what you mean about books. I was excited to find an Amazon delivery last night when I got home of two books I’ve wanted to read for a while: “iWoz” (not started yet, so no comment) and “Dreaming in code” . The latter is an excellent tail of a startup (which is still going) trying to change the world (reminds me of a company close to home).

I almost didn’t get these books as Amazon kindly left them in the paper recycling bin and toay is collection day; luckily, I found their note!
    cheers

    Nasty one that, Ian.

I must use it in an eCommerce lecture!

On presentations, Martin: I dunno, but I can honestly say that since I stopped preparing, my feedback has gone up.

Or maybe its just that I never get to speak to a sensible audience.

I’m nothing at all like my old man, though. He was the greatest after dinner speaker. I take after my mum, who wasn’t!!
